Have you ever experienced the sound of a doorbell ringing when you were sound asleep but it did not ring in real life? Such was the case recently at 4:06 a.m. I’ve grown accustomed to hearing the unique sound of our ring doorbell system when someone presses it, but the one in the early morning hours of October 11, 2021, didn’t sound like it. Later that morning, I checked our ring doorbell camera footage to see if we’d had an early morning visitor, and we had not. Are you intrigued by supernatural sights and sounds sent from heaven? I sure am!
In conjunction with my supernatural doorbell sound, one of my fellow authors had posted some pictures of a recent road trip. One of these photos really piqued my interest. When you examine the picture accompanying this week’s blog post, what does it remind you of? At first blush, I thought it looked like a bird’s profile picture.
In prophetic symbolism, birds can have meanings commensurate with their specific species such as doves, hummingbirds, robins, etc. In general, birds represent good or evil spirits, The Holy Spirit (a dove), a church, or angels. Birds are also messengers of sorts.
Since there’s usually not a doorbell without a door, it’s instructive to examine the prophetic representation for a door first which is an entrance to something, faith, a time of transition (walking through a door), opportunity, Jesus Christ (Revelation 3:20 when Jesus stands at the door of our heart and knocks), mouth, or the work of God (1 Corinthians 16:9).
Doorbells speak of a call to prayer and time of communion with Jesus Christ, calling, or opportunity, arrival or looking for opportunities (if you are the one who rings the bell), and expectation or anticipation.
When writing this prophetic blog post, I deem there’s no correlation between the supernatural sign in the sky via a cloud formation and my being awakened from a deep sleep by the sound of a doorbell. I just thought it would be fun in a spiritual sense to take a look at both of these and meditate upon them as God can speak to us in a myriad of ways including supernatural sights and sounds.
Sometimes Tied To His Word
There have been times in the past when I’ve had a supernatural “sound” encounter such as hearing three taps on my bedroom door, getting up, and finding no one there, then praying and asking the Lord if this is tied to His word in any way.
Tying together 4:06 a.m. on October 11, 2021, and consulting Psalm 40, verse 6, it reads, “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, My ears you have opened. Burnt offering and sin offering You did not require.” (Emphasis mine)
My ears, no pun intended, perked up when I read this verse since I’d heard the supernatural sound a few hours before this. Like the Psalmist has suggested in Psalm 63:1,
“O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.”
When seeking the Lord through His word earlier this morning, I came upon Psalm 40:6. This is also applicable since we are still in a drought in the west. There was an organized day of fasting and prayer this past weekend for the severe drought in our area. We are praying for abundant snowfall in the mountains this winter, so the spring run-off can fill our reservoirs.
God’s Fingers At Work In The Big Blue Sky
We can choose to view cloud formations as God’s fingers at work in the big blue sky through childlike eyes. When asking other people what the clouds look like, it’s fascinating to hear their input. Some do not believe that cloud formations are formed by God and are heaven-sent, but I sure do!
Here are some additional pictures are taken by my author friend. What do you see in each of them?
Prophetic Insights For Daily Living
#1. It’s been said that sometimes God gives us dreams and supernatural encounters when we’re asleep as that’s when our spirits and minds are more settled so we’re able to receive what He’s downloading to us. Have you ever experienced something like this? If not, pray and ask God to start giving you dreams during the night season. Record them in your prophetic journal. It can be most insightful and instructive to refer back to them to start connecting the dots to determine how and when God is speaking to you.
#2. If you’re so inclined, study dreams and visions in the Bible. They appear in both the Old and New Testaments. Here’s a weblink with some verses to help get you started.
#3. Do some of you follow storms and keep a sharp eye on the weather? My daddy was a farmer, so this is something I learned from him. I don’t follow storms per se, but I do enjoy glimpses of unique cloud formations.
#4. As you read my weekly blog post, study the prophetic symbolism, consider the supernatural doorbell sound, and look at the cloud formation, what comes to your mind or spirit?
#5. In 2020, one of my weekly blog posts focused upon dreams, dream decoding, and prophetic symbolism. Here’s the link if you’d like to take a gander at it:
There’s a silly worldly saying, “Dream on!” Right now, it does seem quite appropriate. Here’s wishing you a week filled with God’s supernatural visitations and dreams sent from heaven above. Also, remember to look at the clouds every once in a while and prepare to be amazed!
“For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, When deep sleep falls upon men, While slumbering on their beds, Then He opens the ears of men, And seals their instruction.” (Job 33:14-16)
