The Holy Spirit hovered over the state of Tennessee on Sunday, March 20, 2022, during our evening family prayer time. As we continued to pray and intercede, a key over Tennessee manifested.
Upon closer examination, this copper, skeleton-shaped key extended the full length of the state, even into the upper northeast corner of Bristol and Elizabethton. My attention was especially drawn to Elizabethton.
Elizabethton is a city in, and the county seat of Carter County, Tennessee. It’s the historical site of the first independent American government located west of both the Eastern Continental Divide and the original Thirteen Colonies.
The City of Power.
Elizabethton was first served by relatively inexpensive hydroelectric power during the early 1910s, leading to the popular “The City of Power” moniker.
Previously named “Tiptonville” in honor of Samuel Tipton while within the State of Franklin, the town was as the county seat of the newly minted Tennessee county of Carter was, likewise, renamed as “Elizabethton” by Landon Carter and David McNabb (who were members of a state committee to officially name the area that was appointed by the Tennessee General Assembly in 1796 to locate and name the county seat of Carter County) after their wives, Elizabeth MacLin Carter and Elizabeth McNabb.
Drawing upon the name Elizabeth, we find:
“Literal Meaning: Consecrated to God
Suggested Character Quality: Consecrated One
Suggested Lifetime Scripture Verse: Psalm 119:34
“Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”
Strong’s H6942, qadas, pronounced kaw-dash, means to consecrate, sanctify, prepare, dedicate, be hallowed, be holy, be sanctified, and be separate.
A Biblical example of consecration appears in 2 Chronicles 26:16-18, “But when he (King Uzziah) was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense. So Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests of the Lord—valiant men. And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, ‘It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed! You shall have no honor from the Lord God.’” (Emphasis mine)
#1. A key opens and shuts. It also represents access, opportunities, control, a way out of something, authority, revelation, knowledge, an important key player or item, love, God’s will, prayer, signs and wonders, faith, and the power to bind and loose and lock or unlock.
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
It’s important to note that this key stretched over the entire state.
#1A. Copper (key) symbolizes boldness, righteousness, strength, endurance, and judgment against sin of disobedience.
#1B. The key was shaped like an old-fashioned skeleton key which is also dubbed a “passkey.” It’s a master key that has the serrated edge removed, so it can open innumerable locks, and most commonly the warded lock, leaving only the basic part or design remaining.
#2. I received this prophetic vision and word on March 20, 2022, and 20 represents divine order, redemption, accountability, responsibility, waiting, expectancy, or the literal number of 20 such as 20 people or 20 of something specific.
The Consecrated Ones Hold The Copper Key.
I heard in the Spirit, “The consecrated ones (meaning of Elizabeth’s name) hold the copper key.”
Prophetic Insights For Daily Living.
A.Suffice it to say, every state in the United States and its people should be consecrated to the work of the Lord, but is there a particular emphasis upon the “Volunteer State” as evidenced by a key over Tennessee? It first became known with this slogan during the war of 1812 based upon its prominent role of sending 1,500 volunteer soldiers.
“Your people shall be volunteers In the day of Your power.” (Psalm 110:3)
B. Since it’s a copper key, watch for someone or a designated group of people soon emerging as standard-bearers exhibiting boldness, righteousness, strength, endurance, all the while pronouncing judgment against sin of disobedience against God’s moral laws.
C. There could be a play on words to the extent that someone residing within the state of Tennessee or the state collectively could unlock some “skeletons in someone’s closet.”
Will someone from the “Volunteer State” volunteer some valuable information?
“For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.” (Luke 12:2-3)
D. Based upon the symbolism for the number twenty, watch for Tennessee to be instrumental in bringing divine order and redemption along with requiring accountability and responsibility. This is for the over-arching purpose(s) of redemption.
E. At the start of my weekly prophetic blog post, I mentioned Bristol, Tennessee, which is known as the birthplace of country music, not to mention Nashville which launched the music business in our nation. A musical anointing still hovers over this state. Perhaps the music will be married up with the key, so to speak.
F. After reading this word and ruminating upon it, how is your spirit stirred, or what has The Holy Spirit impressed upon you?
