I began my story telling career at the ripe old age of seven  on our family acreage known as "Sage Creek Farms."   When my siblings and I would work in the orchards or herd cows, I would entertain the crew.  As I grew much older and wiser, I tried to maintain my sense of humor.  The photo on the left was taken during the Spring Writer's Symposium on March 17th, 2018 when I presented a workshop on creative writing.  I'd recently discovered I'm 1/5th Irish, so I decided to celebrate my new-found ancestry.

Midway through life I did not have a mid-life crisis, but I discovered published authors and poets on both sides of my family trees.  This encouraged me to release what was in my heart and spirit to others.

Reading can take us places we've never been before as we learn and discern from the author's voice printed on the pages between the covers or appearing on a digital screen.

My hope is that you will be encouraged, laugh, ascertain wisdom and continue to read as much and often as you can.

Also, if you're looking for a speaker for your writers'  or womens' conference, let's talk!
